Taco Filling
- 1 cup taco sauce Aromatic and tangy.
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Creamy and melty.
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey (seasoned with taco seasoning) Robust taste.
- 0.5 cup black beans, rinsed and drained Adds texture.
- 0.5 cup corn (canned or frozen) Provides flavor and crunch.
Fresh Toppings
- 1 cup shredded lettuce Crisp and refreshing.
- 1 medium tomato, diced Adds freshness.
- 0.5 cup sour cream Balances the spice.
- 0.25 cup sliced black olives Enhances the savory experience.
- 0.25 cup chopped green onions Adds color and flavor.
- to taste Jalapeño slices (optional) For a spicy kick.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions for the pizza crust, usually around 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out or stretch your pizza crust onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread the taco sauce evenly over the pizza crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the taco sauce.
- Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef or turkey over the cheese.
- Layer black beans and corn onto the pizza.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before adding toppings.
Topping & Serving
- Add the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and dollops of sour cream.
- Finish with a sprinkle of sliced black olives and chopped green onions. Add jalapeño slices if preferred.
