Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  • Lay the triangles in an ungreased 9-inch square pan, pressing down over the bottom and up the sides.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the lean ground beef, breaking it into small pieces and draining excess fat.

Cooking

  • Stir in the thick and chunky salsa and taco seasoning mix. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Distribute the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the crescent crust.
  • Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  • Add shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes on top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Can prepare ahead of time and assemble without baking, storing in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
