Instructions

Preparation

Make the Whipped Cream

  • In a separate bowl, whip your heavy cream until soft peaks start to form. Gently fold in the vanilla extract.

Set Up the Shortcake

  • Carefully split the pre-made shortcake biscuits in half horizontally.

Layer the Ingredients

  • On a serving plate, place the bottom half of a biscuit. Spoon a generous amount of the macerated strawberries over the biscuit, then add a dollop of whipped cream. Cap with the top half of the biscuit. Repeat for the second shortcake.

Garnish and Serve

  • Add a few mint leaves on top of your shortcakes and serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Let the strawberries sit with sugar to develop juices. If making whipped cream from scratch, use chilled equipment for better volume.
