Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.

  • In another bowl, mix applesauce, milk, vanilla extract, pureed spinach, and food coloring until smooth.
  • Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  • Fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full with the batter.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Drizzle melted white chocolate over donuts and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
