Instructions

Marinate the Steak

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  • Add the flank steak and ensure it is well coated in the marinade. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the Rice

  • Prepare the rice according to package instructions.

Prepare the Spicy Cream Sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, gochujang, honey, and lime juice. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Chop the Vegetables

  • Chop your choice of vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

Cook the Steak

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated flank steak and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
  • Remove from skillet and let rest for a few moments before slicing against the grain.

Sauté the Vegetables

  • In the same skillet, add the chopped vegetables and sauté for 3–5 minutes until tender yet crisp.

Assemble the Bowls

  • Start by placing a scoop of cooked rice in each bowl.
  • Top with sliced steak, sautéed vegetables, and drizzle with spicy cream sauce.

Garnish

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over each bowl.

Notes

For optimal flavor, let the steak marinate for longer if time allows. Consider garnishing with crushed peanuts or additional vegetables.
