  • 1/2 cup salted butter (melted) Enhances the crust with rich creaminess.

For the pudding layer

  • 6.8 oz instant lemon pudding mix Adds refreshing citrus flavor.
  • 3.25 cups milk Essential for a creamy pudding consistency.

For the creamy layer

  • 16 oz Cool Whip (thawed) Adds lightness and creaminess.
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened) Provides a tangy contrast to sweetness.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Enhances sweetness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Crush the Golden Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Reserve 3/4 cup of crumbs for topping.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining crushed Oreos with melted butter and mix until moistened. Press firmly into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Making the pudding

  • Whisk together the lemon pudding mix and milk in a separate bowl. Mix until thickened, about 5 minutes.

Creamy layer preparation

  • Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth. Fold in the thawed Cool Whip gently.

Layering the dessert

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
  • Top with the lemon pudding layer, followed by the remaining Cool Whip, and sprinkle with reserved Oreo crumbs.

Chilling

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened before mixing. Chilling is vital for the layers to set properly. Reserve crumbs and Cool Whip for topping.
