Cheese and Extras

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Oozy and melty
  • optional mustard or sauerkraut For an extra zing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt together the butter and olive oil.
  • Add the sliced onion, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sauté for about 10–15 minutes until caramelized.

Grilling

  • Grill the kielbasa sausages for about 5–7 minutes until heated through.
  • Carefully slice the sausages in half lengthwise.

Assembly

  • Assemble the sandwich by placing a kielbasa half on a slice of bread.
  • Top with caramelized onions and a mound of cheddar cheese.
  • Grill the assembled sandwiches for 3–4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden and crispy.

Serving

  • Allow the sandwiches to cool for a minute before slicing and serving.
  • Serve with optional toppings like mustard or sauerkraut.

Notes
