Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients. Make sure you have everything on hand before you start cooking.
  • Heat milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until warm but not boiling.
  • In a small bowl, mix custard powder with 2 tablespoons of cold milk until smooth.
  • Dissolve sugar in warm milk and stir thoroughly.

Cooking

  • Gradually add the custard paste to the heated milk while whisking vigorously to avoid lumps.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes until thickened to a pudding-like consistency.
  • Stir in cardamom powder after removing from heat.

Assembly

  • Transfer the custard to a bowl and cool at room temperature before refrigerating.
  • Wash and chop seasonal fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  • Layer or fold fruits into the cooled custard.
  • Sprinkle with chopped nuts before serving.
