  • ½ cup ketchup Provides tangy sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Enhances richness.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For aromatic kick.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour the frozen meatballs into a 6-quart slow cooker and spread them out evenly.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, minced garlic, diced onion, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs, gently stirring to ensure all meatballs are coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 2½ to 3 hours or on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Stir the mixture well just before serving.

Serving

  • Optionally, sprinkle sliced green onions over the top before serving.

Notes

For optimal flavor, use fresh ingredients. Consider adding rice vinegar or sesame oil for depth. Adjust red pepper flakes or add hot sauce for more heat. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days or frozen.
