  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded tender and flavorful
  • 1 cup rich Alfredo sauce creamy and aromatic
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese gooey and delicious
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese sharp and nutty
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder fragrant and zesty
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning herby and delightful
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil smooth and fragrant
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (16 oz) soft and pliable
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) results in a glossy finish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Add olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste, and mix well.
  • Divide the refrigerated pizza dough into four equal pieces and roll each into a circle about ¼ inch thick.
  • Spoon approximately ½ cup of the filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving about a ½ inch border.
  • Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Crimp down the borders with a fork.
  • Brush the tops of each calzone with the beaten egg.

Baking

  • Place the calzones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let the calzones cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce for dipping. For healthier alternatives, use whole wheat dough or swap chicken for sautéed vegetables.
