  • 1 pound ground beef Cooked to perfection
  • 28 oz frozen cubed potatoes with onions & peppers Tender and aromatic
  • 10.5 oz can cheddar cheese soup For a luscious, creamy consistency
  • 10.5 oz can cream of celery soup Adds depth and earthiness
  • 2+ cups shredded cheddar cheese Melts beautifully for a gooey top
  • to taste seasoning (garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes) For personal flair and warmth

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
  • In a large bowl, mix the browned beef with the frozen cubed potatoes, both soups, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir gently.

Assembly and Baking

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly and top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Consider adding sautéed vegetables or using different cheeses to customize this dish. Allowing it to rest after baking makes slicing easier.
